{99 cents!!}

I heart a good deal.  Like, a lot.  But I am also guilty of buying things just because they are on sale.  I inherited this DIRECTLY from my mother.  Thanks, mom.  Or as my mother-in-law said before Black Friday, "We don't need anything but these coupons need to be used!" Right on, I feel that.

I was at the St. Vincent De Paul Superstore thrifting it up when I found a vase full of vintage old knitting needles.  (Can we talk for one minute about the use of the word 'vintage' and how gaga the blogosphere is for 'vintage'?  Anything old at the thrift store is not necessarily vintage.  It seems like there is a tendency to glamorize second hand purchases by tacking on the word 'vintage'.  I'm over it.  If it's not at least 20 years old, it's not vintage.)
There was a sticker on the vase that said .99 so I picked out all the pairs/sizes that I can use plus one weird crochet hook and brought them to the front.  I exprained to the guy about the sticker and he was like, "Sure, we'll do all of them for 99 cents."  Whoop, whoop, hello, new best friend!

To make it even sweeter, I went to the JoAnn Fabrics next door (to use a COUPON!!) and there were sets of needles in 3 sizes on sale for 11.99.  My glee was positively boundless.  The only thing better than getting a good deal is affirmation that other people are definitely getting ripped off.
